The Role of Pilots and Mechanics

Pilots

As a pilot with Samaritan Aviation, you’ll navigate through the breathtaking landscapes of Papua New Guinea, conducting life flights, medical supply flights, and disaster relief flights along the Sepik River.

Reporting to the Chief Pilot, you’ll play an integral role in our mission, working with professionalism and a spirit of cooperation. We are seeking mission-driven pilots with the following qualifications:

  • Commercial license with instrument and seaplane rating

  • No minimum hours required, but experience is preferred

  • Airframe and Power Plant Certificate preferred, not required

  • A clear call to the mission field and a servant’s heart

  • Teachable, self-disciplined, goal-directed, and a team player

  • Ability to handle short and long-term stress and adapt to changing circumstances

  • Commitment to safety and adherence to Samaritan Aviation’s safety standards

Mechanics

As a Samaritan Aviation Mechanic, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining the safety and reliability of our fixed-wing aircraft in Papua New Guinea. We’re looking for individuals ready to foster strong relationships with our team, and embody our core values. The qualifications we seek are:
  • Airframe and Power Plant Certificate

  • Inspector Authorization (preferred)

  • Experience in technical records or inventory management

  • Overseas living or working experience for 2+ years (preferred)

  • Management or leadership experience (preferred)

  • A clear call to the mission field, a servant’s heart, and the ability to handle short and long-term stress

  • Teachability, self-discipline, goal-orientation, and team spirit

  • Willingness to be flexible and adapt to changing circumstances

Airframe and Power Plant Certificate
