SERVING MORE PEOPLE,
ONE FLIGHT AT A TIME

Early one morning, Riven’s hut caught on fire. After rescuing his family, Riven’s only escape was directly through the flames. Riven emerged covered in first and second-degree burns.

After an entire day of traversing through the jungle rife with swamps and muddy rivers, Riven arrived at the nearest health center. Still, 5 days away from the nearest hospital, we were called and told that Riven needed help. Mark, Forrest, and Chris flew to the remote village to pick him up and transported him to Boram Hospital. Riven spent three weeks in the hospital receiving care, where our hospital team ministered, prayed, and shared the Gospel with him and his family.

After Riven’s burns had healed enough for him to return to his village, he told our team that he had given his whole life, including his injury, up to God. He went on to tell them that he was praising God and was so excited to return to his village so that he could share the Gospel with his family and neighbors.

bUILDING HOMES
FOR MISSIONARY FAMILIES

In the East Sepik Province, we need to raise $3.6 million to buy land and build safe homes for our missionary families.

Missionary families are the foundation of our work in Papua New Guinea. Without them, our emergency medical efforts and ministry to our neighbors would not take place.

We have a desperate need for housing for our growing team and it is critical that we have safe, secure housing for these families who have committed their lives to this critical work.

Acquire land ($1.4 million)

We have been searching for over a decade, and have identified the only parcel of land that is available. This land is in a safe area, has access to utilities, and is close to our base of operations

Develop land & build key structures ($2.2 million)

This includes preparing the property with utilities and parking. Construction includes eight homes for missionary families, as well as the multi-use training facility, the common area, and the playground.

  • The Gulf Province is one of the most under developed and remote places in PNG
  • There are very few roads, as the Province has many rivers and swamps, and there are only four runways open
  • The people are days away from the nearest hospital and medical centers
  • We have a proven ministry model
  • We feel God is leading us to expand and have been invited by the country’s National Department of Health

With your prayerful support we can raise $1.7 million to:

Purchase an additional floatplane ($800,000)
This will allow us to provide more emergency medical aviation services to people in urgent need.

Build an airplane hangar and cover expansion costs ($900,000)
This will include all of the necessary startup equipment, including vehicles, an ambulance, an office, and other expansion costs.

“How do I decide what God wants me to give?”
Here are four questions to ask yourself:

  1. Am I giving what I consider is safe and reasonable, or am I asking in prayer what God wants to give through me? Try praying, “Lord, I want to give sacrificially. Please show me how to give a gift that will stretch my faith.”
  2. Does the amount I’m thinking about really stretch my faith? “God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.” 2 Corinthians 9:8 NLT
  3. As I am making my decision, have I considered the eternal reward over the material things of this world? Paul’s instruction to Timothy: “Tell them to use their money to do good. They should be rich in good works and generous to those in need, always being ready to share with others. By doing this they will be storing up their treasure as a good foundation for the future, so that they may experience true life.” 1 Timothy 6:18-19 NLT
  4. Is my gift being given with true joy? “Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” 2 Corinthians 9:7 NIV
