Recently, we heard from the Rees family who are missionaries with Ethnos 360 and are working in PNG on Bible translation, church planting, and literacy training. They live and minister in the remote village of Pei, located in the upper Sepik River area. They sent us a video thanking us for our partnership with their family since they arrived in 2011. We have helped them with several emergency medical flights such as when Justin’s wife Lauren was sick with Dengue fever, and when a co-worker had a severe case of malaria. We have flown life flights saving the lives of many of the villagers in Pei who have had childbirth complications, as well as other serious illnesses. Over the years we’ve flown in medicine, food, and other critical supplies to help them with their mission work. By providing these services, the Reeses have been able to focus on their goals, one of which is planning for the first church ever established in Pei. Along with our partnership with the Rees family, we are both proud of, and humbled by, all of our other working relationships in Papua New Guinea, Australia, and the United States.
Part of our incredible story includes our partnership with the PNG National Government, Provincial Government, and the East Sepik Provincial Authority. For eight of the last ten years they have supported 40% of our PNG operational costs. We are so grateful for other regional organizations such as Save the Children Australia, The Digicel Foundation, Oxfam Australia, and Islands Petroleum who have also partnered with us in Papua New Guinea.
In the USA one of our major partners has been Western Skyways, who has helped us with all of our aircraft engines. Their engines have been totally reliable and have helped saved countless lives. Other partners include Aerocet Floats, Flint Tip Tanks, and numerous other companies. Samaritan Aviation can truly say what Paul wrote to the believers in Philippi, “Whenever I pray, I make my requests for all of you with joy, for you have been my partners in spreading the Good News about Christ…” Phil. 1:4-5 [NLT].
