Randy Downing is the President and co-founder of Coal Creek Consulting, a leading wireless infrastructure development firm serving the Southwestern United States. With more than two decades of experience in telecommunications, land use, and project management, Randy brings strategic insight and entrepreneurial leadership to his role on Samaritan Aviation’s Advisory Board.
A proud Arizona native, Randy earned his Bachelor of Science in Public Programs with a minor in Business from Arizona State University and an Associate of Arts degree in Statistics from Mesa Community College, where he also played collegiate baseball. His educational and athletic background helped shape his commitment to teamwork, integrity, and long-term impact.
Randy has been married to his wife, Kristi, for over 20 years, and together they have three children. Their son Marcus is a right-handed pitcher and cadet at the United States Air Force Academy. Their daughter Kalli is a senior at Pinnacle High School, where she serves as captain of the lacrosse team, leads a youth group at Highlands Church, and conducts her own Bible studies before school. Their youngest, Charli, is involved in the youth program at Highlands, plays competitive softball, and is the 2025 USATF National Champion in the javelin.
Randy’s commitment to faith, family, and service aligns with the mission of Samaritan Aviation. He is honored to support the organization’s life-saving work and share in its vision to bring hope and healing to remote communities in Papua New Guinea.
