Medical Life Lines

May 21, 2021

At Samaritan Aviation our mission is to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way. One way we accomplish our mission is by delivering crucial medical supplies to aid posts and health centers along the Sepik River. With one main medical supply store in our town of Wewak, aid post workers face complex logistics to get the medicine out to any of the forty-four aid posts. One way Samaritan Aviation serves the aid posts is by flying the medicine directly to them, bypassing the bumpy roads and long motorboat rides that often take up to 2-3 days. We see when the aid post workers are expecting an order and work alongside the local medical supply store to get the medicine to our hangar for distribution. We then schedule flights to get the medicine out to the aid post workers. Many times we can coordinate with our partners, or even with patients who need to come to the hospital, so we can maximize the efficient use of our airplanes!

Some of our missionary families have recently had some change in their everyday lives.

The Hamer family is now in Papua New Guinea! Please keep them in your prayers as they will be adjusting back into PNG life.

The Hovendens are in Australia awaiting work visas and permits

The Cooke family has returned stateside and is now on home assignment.
