Sharon is a Registered Nurse/ Midwife and Child Health nurse and her passion is to make a difference to the appalling maternal/infant mortality rate in developing nations. She has a broad international perspective in this area, having spent time in Cambodia, Kenya, Uganda and completing a midwifery internship and study in The Philippines with Mercy in Action. She has taken nursing trips to PNG and has worked with YWAM Medical Ships and with Send Hope not Flowers. She is currently studying a Grad Certificate in Domestic Violence.
Sharon and her husband, James, currently reside in Brisbane with their three daughters, Hannah, Shani, and Zara.
“PNG has been in my heart for a long time. At age 7 my family went to live there as missionaries and James, my husband, was born there. Wewak was my boarding school home for 5 years. I consider it a privilege to be involved with Samaritan Aviation and I’m excited for what the future may bring.”
