The first born son of an ex-Austrian Missionary to Papua New Guinea, James’ heart is for the mission field and reaching the nations with the love of God! Born in Papua New Guinea and educated in Australia as a Civil Engineer, James has been involved in short term missions since his university days.

First introduced to overseas missions being a member of an overseas student focused and student lead Christian club (Overseas Christian Fellowship) at the University of Queensland (UQ), James went on his first short term missions’ trip to Kazakhstan working with Youth With A Mission (YWAM). This was followed a few years later with another short-term trip to Kenya where he fell in love with an Aussie girl during this trip and eventually got married a couple of years later.

In 2012, James, his wife Sharon (a Pastor’s Kid who grew up in Wewak, PNG) and two of his 3 girls went to Kona, Hawaii on a 6-month Disciple Training School (DTS) with YWAM. As part of the Crossroads DTS, the Team did a 2-month outreach into Cambodia which was a defining moment for him and his family in seeing God do miracles through the team! Upon return from the DTS, James got involved with DIAS in its early scouting trips into Kenya and Uganda to “spy out the land” and pray into what God was doing in the area.

Then in 2014, a Brisbane based NGO called Droplets In AStraeam (DIAS) send James and his young family as their 1st ever missionaries to Kenya to work with a local Kenyan family to commence construction of Stage 1 of a Child Rescue Centre call The Milele Centre. During this trip, James had the honour of working with another Ugandan Christian ministry calledKyampisi Child Care Ministries (KCM)to build a classroom, do some leadership training and mentoring. Since then, James has been on a few short-term mission trips to PNG, one to Bougainville, another to West Sepik Province to teach and others to the highlands, to train and support both the local church leaders and a medical centre. James currently works as a Project Manager for Queensland Rail (QR) and together with Sharon are Missions Coordinators in their local churchwhich is based on the southside of Brisbane. The opportunity to now workwith Samaritan Aviation (SA) is an honour and a privilege! It is James’ desire that God will use his skills, experience, and his passion for missions to inspire others to do more for missions in PNG and around the world!
