For too long, the remote villages of Papua New Guinea have faced a harsh reality, where medical crises quickly turn tragic simply because help can’t arrive in time. But that reality is changing with Samaritan Aviation’s monthly giving community, the Compassion Crew.
Compassion Crew is Samaritan Aviation’s committed group of monthly donors who make emergency medical flights possible in rural areas of Papua New Guinea. Your monthly gift of $19 allows us to offer these services for free. Every flight comes at a cost: fuel, maintenance, medicine, etc. By offering these services for free, we get to show our friends what grace is before we tell them what grace is.
God is using Compassion Crew as a foundational piece to sustain this ministry for physical and spiritual healing. Every life flight is an opportunity to share the Gospel with our patients. Our team gives each patient an audio Bible in their local language and guides them through a curriculum called King of Glory, where they learn about the hope and love of Jesus Christ.
Compassion Crew believes in a future where every family can reach a hospital, where a mother can safely give birth, where snake bites and illnesses can be treated, and where hope arrives in time.
For 25+ years, Samaritan Aviation has been responding to medical emergencies in rural Papua New Guinea through medevac transportation. Complex river systems, rugged terrain, and a small number of hospitals in the region create the perfect storm of hopelessness when crises strike. Our skilled pilots and emergency response team can reduce a 3-day canoe ride to an hour flight.
